Continuando na iniciativa do blog de ser referência no estudo de Certificações Cisco, agora apresento um resumo de mensagens e estados do protocolo BGP.

Mensagens BGP:

Open : Quando o processo BGP inicia são estabelecidas conexões na porta TCP 179 com a mensagem BGP OPEN.

Keepalive : Keepalive indicando que a conexão ainda está estabelecida.

Update : Mensagens de atualização de redes. Enviadas no início do processo e quando ocorrerem atualizações na rede.

Notification : Quando um vizinho reinicia é enviada a mensagem Notification indicando que está finalizando a relação.

Estados BGP:Hello Guys,

Continuing the initiative of the blog to be reference in the study of Cisco Certifications, now present a summary of messages and states of the BGP protocol.

Below.

BGP messages:

Open: When the BGP process starts are established connections to TCP port 179 to the BGP OPEN message.

KeepAlive: KeepAlive indicating that the connection is still established.

Update: update network messages. Sent early in the process and when updates occur on the network.

Notification: When a neighbor restart Notification is sent a message indicating that the relationship is ending.

BGP states:

Idle – Seeking neighbors.

Connect – TCP connection established with neighbor

Open Sent – BGP OPEN message sent

Open Confirm – Response received

Established – BGP neighbor Connection established.

Troubleshooting

Established is good, rest is the problem.
If the neighboring state of not progressing to Idle, verify that the next-hop is achievable.
If the neighbor is in state Active is not configured or is not behaving as expected.
Make sure the neighbor is correct: IP addresses, Autonomous System (AS), configuration and authentication.

Olá pessoal,

Quero lhes passar neste post o que deve ser feito para obter o melhor rendimento e desempenho no CCNA.

Não pensem que o psicológico não influi no seu resultado da prova, influi SIM, mas indiretamente. Se você está a 3 semanas estudando muito, dormindo pouco, cansado, estressado, a sua mente está cansada e tensa.

A seguir, quero compartilhar todo o processo que fiz um dia antes da prova para possibilitar um descanso total da mente e relaxamento.

Estudo Cisco e o ócio criativo – INTERESSANTECisco study and creative leisure – INTERESTING

Olá pessoal,

Eu como jovem cheio de disposição e idéias gosto muito de unir a diversão, o trabalho e o estudo. Eu aprendi na faculdade que a junção destas três tarefas é chamada de ócio criativo.

Como estou cheio de tarefas para realizar para a faculdade e estava afim de inovar um pouco, resolvi instalar meu notebook num monitor um pouco mais avantajado. Poisé, e se eu disse que esse avantajado é nada mais nada menos que 40 polegadas (reparem na foto)? hehehehe

Acredite, acho que foi por causa do ócio criativo que dá muito mais prazer e idéias para o indivíduo que consegui resolver um problemão que eu estava tendo com o BGP em laboratório desenvolvido por mim (a ser postado logo, logo). O problema está neste link

Olá Pessoal,

Para vos manter informado de como está se dando meu estudo para o CCNP, começando pela prova BSCI, gostaria de apresentar a minha lista de afazeres para completar o estudo. O blog está aos poucos se transformando também num guia CCNP.

Hoje, finalizei o último dos CBT Nuggets pelo Jeremy Cioara, e conclui que para introdução de todos os conceitos de maneira bem calma foi muito bom. Agora, é necessário fixar os conceitos e praticar bastante para ficar na mente e o mais importante, levar para a carreira tudo o que foi aprendido.

Comunicando o empenho, estou criando a topologia do meu primeiro laboratório em Dynamips (GNS3). Disponibilizo-a abaixo, pois é um modelo muito bom para se trabalhar várias questões do OSPF multiárea.

Lembro a todos para modificar o arquivo .net para encontrado o caminho correto das IOS utilizadas. Neste Lab, foram utilizados roteadores 3620.

Para quem não sabe, OSPF multi-área é conteúdo da prova BSCI do CCNP.

Este ano estou me formando, então o tempo passa muito rápido. Tenho que definir meus objetivos da noite pro dia (foi o que aconteceu).

Decidi que até o final do ano me certificarei como CCNP, então já estou correndo atrás.

A primeira parte do estudo será a leitura do livro: CCNP BSCI – Official Exam Cert. Guide por David Steward 4a edição

Após, seguirei os mesmos passos para o CCNA. Agora, como se trata de assuntos mais complexos utilizarei o CBT Nuggets muito mais.

Olá Pessoal,

Agora que sou certificado CCNA, vamos partir para a próxima.

Esta dica vai para todos que, como eu, estão rumo a certificação CCNP (ou acima), ou ainda estão de saco cheio do Packet Tracer da Cisco.

Consiste na instalação e o set-up do pacotão GNS3 que já instala o Dynamips e o Dynagen para simular um roteador real Cisco. Segue imagem abaixo:

Iniciando este tutorial GNS3

Efetue o download do pacotão do GNS3. Neste pacote esta incluso tudo que será necessário para rodar o simulador. Disponível em: http://www.gns3.net/download.
Faça o download de IOS que serão utilizadas para emular o roteador Cisco correspondente. Neste caso, foi utilizado as séries 2600, 3600 e 7200. IOS disponíveis, por sua conta e risco, em: http://www.4shared.com/dir/7179596/e3a488a5/sharing.html
A instalação é feita como qualquer aplicativo Windows, next -> next -> Finish.
Execute o aplicativo.
Dentro dele, deve-se incluir as IOSs. Acesso o menu Edit -> IOS Images and Supervisors, nesta tela, deve-se apontar o caminho para o IOS e definir o modelo do roteador. Faça este passo para todas IOS que desejar.
Crie a topologia desejada e aperte o botão play para iniciar todos dispositivos.
Para conectar em cada um deles, clique com o botão direito do mouse e entre em Console.
No meu caso, eu prefiro utilizar o Putty para gerenciar o console. Então, entre no menu Edit -> Preferences, na aba General modifique a linha start telnet %h %p por:

start d:\[localdoputty]\putty.exe -telnet %h %p

Now I am CCNA certified, we will go to the next.

This tip goes to all who, like me, are on the way to CCNP certification (or above), or are tired of the Cisco Packet Tracer.

Is the installation and set-up package that already GNS3 install Dynamips and Dynagen to simulate a real Cisco router. The next image below:

Starting this tutorial GNS3

Please download the package of GNS3. In this package includes everything you will need to run the simulator. Available at:http://www.gns3.net/download.
Download the IOS will be used to emulate the corresponding Cisco router. In this case, we used the series in 2600, 3600 and 7200. IOS available, at your own risk, in: http://www.4shared.com/dir/7179596/e3a488a5/sharing.html
Installation is done like any Windows application, next -> next -> Finish.
Run the application.
Inside, you should include IOSs. Access the menu Edit -> IOS Images and supervisors in this screen, you should point the way to the IOS and set the model of router. Do this step for all who wish IOS.
Create the desired topology and press the play button to start all devices.
To connect to each one, click the right mouse button, and then Console.
In my case, I prefer to use Putty to manage the console. Then enter the menu Edit -> Preferences, General tab change the line start telnet% h% p by:

start d: \ [localdoputty] \ putty.exe-telnet% h% p

Passei na CCNAPassed CCNA Exam

PASSEI NA 640-802 CISCO CCNA :DDD

Acabei de postar na thread do forum do Marco “Passei no CCNA” sobre os meus resultados na Certificação CCNA 640-802.

Abaixo, transcrevo meu comentário.

Passei hoje (23/03/2009) na Certificação CCNA 640-802:

Minha nota: 916

Nota de corte: 825.

Eu tive 2 horas para fazer a prova, pois fiz ela em inglês mas quando terminei ainda faltavam 47 minutos.

Foram 44 questões.

Caíram 2 laboratórios de configuração, 1 de dar shows e responder as questões, 3 drags and drops, muitas questões sobre VLSM e de resto todo o conteúdo. Uma questão de IPv6 me rachou a cara, não sabia um item e me ralei.

Sobre o estudo, eu fiz o netacademy até 2006, fiz a 640-801 e não passei. Este ano como estou me formando na faculdade (Eng. da computação) e resolvi me puxar para fazer a certificação este ano.

Estudei desde janeiro pelo livro do Marco, o CCNA 4.1. Utilizei como minha principal fonte de referência. As minhas dúvidas mais específicas eram resolvidas pelo Netacademy e pelo livro 3.1 da 640-801 do Wendell Odom. Algumas dúvidas tirei no forum. Quando eu senti firmeza, fiz uns TKs para ver meus pontos fracos e refiz o ciclo de estudo para fortalecê-los (muito boa esta estratégia).

Fiz muitos laboratórios relacionados a EIGRP, OSPF, STP e outros, tudo no PacketTracer. Não utilizei o Dynamips por hora pela facilidade de analisar pacotes com o PT 5.1.

Step in CISCO CCNA 640-802: DDD

I just post in the forum thread of Marco “I Passed the CCNA Exam” on my results in the CCNA 640-802 certification.

Below, write down my comment.

I spent today (23/03/2009) in the 640-802 CCNA Certification:

My note: 916

Note the cut: 825.

I had 2 hours to do the test because I did it in English but still missing when finished 47 minutes.

There were 44 questions.

Laboratories fell 2 configuration, 1 to show and answer the questions, 3 drags and drops, many questions on VLSM and rest the entire content. A question of IPv6 I split my face, no one knew me and thinning item.

On the study, I did the netacademy until 2006, and 640-801 did not passed. This year as I’m forming in college (computer Engineer) and I decided to pull the certification this year.

Studied from the book of Mark in January, the CCNA 4.1. Used as my main source of reference. My more specific questions were addressed by the book Netacademy and 3.1 of the 640-801 Wendell Odom. Some took questions in the forum. When I feel strongly I did some Tks to see my weaknesses and refiz the course of study to strengthen them (very good this strategy).

I made many laboratories related to EIGRP, OSPF, STP and others, all in PacketTracer. Dynamips not used the facility for an hour to analyze packet with PT 5.1.

Laboratório OSPF – Convergência DR & BDROSPF Lab – DR & BDR Convergence

Olá pessoal,

Faltando apenas uma semana para o grande dia, estou praticando bastante minhas habilidades práticas nos temas que senti que precisava de um reforço.

Um destes era como funcionava a convergência do protocolo OSPF em redes multi-acesso e a relação dos Routers IDs com a escolha do DR e do BDR da rede.

O laboratório foi feito para que se possa ver a convergência da rede quando esta sobre uma modificação.

Nota-se que cada segmento multi-acesso possui a eleição de um DR e/ou BDR, logo, para as redes que possuem apenas um dispositivo, esta terá somente um DR e nenhum BDR.

A respeito do Router ID, este é o maior IP numa interface lógica (loopback). Se não existir uma interface lógica, o RID é definido como o maior endereço IP de uma interface participante no processo de roteamento.

With only a week for the big day, I’m practicing my very practical skills in areas I felt I needed a backup.

One of these was how the convergence of OSPF protocol in multi-access networks and the IDs of the routers with the choice ofDR and BDR on the network.

The laboratory has been done so you can see the convergence of the network when it on a modification.

Note that each multi-access segment has the election of a DR and / or BDR, so for the networks that have only one device, this will take only a DR and BDR no.

Complementando meus estudos (e o de vocês) sobre a parte conceitual do EIGRP segue abaixo:

Com relação às rotas:

Sucessor route: Rota principal para um destino. É apresentada no comando show ip route e no show ip eigrp topology como sucessor route.
Feasible Sucessor: Possível rota alternativa para um destino. Apresentada na tabela de topologia e somente passa para a tabela de roteamento quando a sucessor route torna-se inalcançavel ou tem um custo maior que a FS.

Com relação às métricas (custo)

Feasible Distance: Distância calculada até um destino. É composta da reported distance + o custo calculado até o destino.
Reported Distance (Advertised Distance): Distância anunciada por um roteador vizinho até um destino. Esta métrica sempre será menor que a Feasible distance (pois se for maior está ocorrendo um loop de roteamento).

Complementing my studies (and of you) on the conceptual part of the EIGRP below:

Regarding routes:

Successor route: Route to a major destination. Is shown in the command show ip route andshow ip route EIGRP topology as successor.
Feasible Successor: A possible alternative route to a destination. Presented in the table of topology and only goes into the routing table when a successor route becomes unreachable, or has a cost greater than the FS.

With respect to metric (cost)

Feasible Distance: Distance calculated to a destination. It is composed of the reported distance + the calculated cost to the destination.
Reported Distance (Distance advertised): Distance advertised by a neighbor router to a destination. This metric will always be smaller than the Feasible distance (as if more is going on a routing loop).

Como podem ter visto, parei de atualizar um pouco o blog, devido ao fato de que estou estudando um montão para me certificar até o início de abril!

Para todos que desejam saber a maneira na qual estou me organizando para o estudo segue abaixo.

Ler o livro CCNA 4.1 do Marco Filippeti.
Fazer laboratórios de roteamento (ACL, NAT, Protocolos de roteamento, aprendizagem de rotas…).
Fazer laboratório de switching (VLAN, VTP, administração, Etherchannel, STP…).
Reler para entendimento o livro do Marco e NetAcademy, as partes de Switching e configuração de switches.
Fazer todo TestKing da parte de Switching.
Fazer um Pass4Sure para identificar pontos fracos.
Voltar ao passo 4, lendo o que se identificou como ponto fraco, e seguir a seqüência até identificar que estou preparado.
Marcar a prova para no máximo 3 dias adiante.

Este é o meu roteiro de estudos pessoal.

For all who wish to know the way in which I am organizing for the study below.

Read the book of Marco Filippeti CCNA 4.1.
Do laboratories routing (ACL, NAT, routing protocols, routes of learning …).
Do laboratory switching (VLAN, VTP, administration, Etherchannel, STP …).
Read for understanding the book of Mark and NetAcademy, parts of Switching and setting switches.
Do all TestKing from Switching.
Add a Pass4Sure for weaknesses.
Back to step 4 by reading what is identified as weak, and follow the sequence to identify that I am prepared.
Mark the event for maximum 3 days later.

This is my personal roadmap studies.

Rotina de Inicialização dos Dispositivos CiscoInitialization routine for Cisco Devices

Olá pessoal,

Hoje, fiz um simulado para a Certificação e me fugiu a sequencia correta de inicialização e os locais default de onde são carregados cada um dos respectivos itens.

Segue abaixo a ordem de inicialização o que é carregado e de onde:

POST (Power-on self-test) – verifica o hardware.
Bootstrap (algo como a BIOS do roteador) – Carregado a partir da ROM.
IOS (OS do dispositivo) – Carregado a partir da FLASH. O dispositivo procura a IOS na seguinte seqüência: Flash, Tftp e ROM (mini-ios).
Config (Arquivo startup-config) – Carregado a partir da NVRAM, se não for encontrado procura num servidor TFTP. Se não for encontrado em nenhum dos dois, entra em modo setup.

Vale ressaltar que os locais de onde são carregados cada um dos itens anteriores podem ser alterados. Normalmente, o Bootstrap e o IOS serão carregados a partir de seus lugares padrão, sendo o local das configurações algumas vezes modificado.

Today, I made a dummy for the Certification and I fled the correct boot sequence and default locations of where they are loaded each of their items.

Here is the order of the boot that is loaded and where:

POST (Power-on self-test) – check the hardware.
Bootstrap (something like the BIOS of the router) – Loaded from ROM.
IOS (OS of the device) – Born from the FLASH. The device seeks to IOS in the following sequence: Flash, tftp and ROM (mini-ios).
Config (file startup-config) – Born from the NVRAM, if not found in a search TFTP server. If not found in either, enter into setup mode.

Please note that the locations of where they are loaded each of the above can be changed. Typically, the Bootstrap and the IOS will be loaded from their seats standard, and the place settings sometimes modified.
